Aargh! It's that time again...

I really, really, really hate painting fancy shield patterns. Not only is it time consuming and labour intensive, but I'm pretty much hopeless at it.  Probably the only thing I'm worse at is applying decals.

It's one of those things though you just have to sit down, take a deep breath, and do. 'Character-building' as they used to say...

  1. Applying transfers is definitely the way to go with hoplite shields!

  2. I often create my own transfers and flags. Once you get it down to a system its not too hard to sort them out onto transfer papers.

  3. Looks like there are some Hoplites on the way! With you on that Aaron, but I prefer the transfer option if available. I have used some Veni Vidi Vici transfers without too much hassle.

  4. You're a brave soul, Aaron - especially when there's transfer options available. Best wishes in any case!

  5. I'm terrible with decals, and I imagine it would be the same with transfers!

  6. I actually found the transfers pretty easy to use as well... once I realized they were NOT decals, that is!

    1. Hmm, you're challenging my established verities, Peter! :) I may have to investigate a bit more thoroughly!

      Cheers,
