More Gauls
The test lot of Gauls is almost done. Here are a few shots post Klear coat but pre matt varnish (hence the shinyness). Photos are a bit ropey, but the figures look quite lively in the lead, as it were. I think the Tin Soldier / Xyston mix is going to turn out OK, but I'm going to have to clip off the stands on some of the taller TS figures to help them blend in a little better.

Nice work, keep them coming!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ray! Am trying :)
Deletetop notch mate.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Seb!
DeleteLooking great so far! I wouldn't bother clipping the bases. Variation in height is a natural thing anyway.
ReplyDeleteHmm, maybe you're right. Might clip a few of the big pose but leave the rest to 'stand out'!
DeleteGood work Pru! I might have missed this but are you basing these up for Impetus or HC?
ReplyDeleteGood question Monty. I like big bases at the moment, and am going to do probably a quarter of the army like that. The rest will be in smaller denominations so that I can give change as needed. My main rulesets all have, in most cases, four bases making up a unit, so I think I can get away with it.
DeleteThey look good. You've got color, variety what else do your need?
ReplyDeleteNice puzzle in, Sean: number for the win? ;-)
