  1. Is this the OCS series of games? I can't remember. I have been wanting to try out GMT's "Normandy 44" but have yet to find the time (for some reason I am putting together 40K Orks).

    Cheers

    1. Almost; this is the Tactical Combat Series one. I have Normandy '44 too, but there's just no space to leave these babies set up for too long, sadly!

    2. Sorry - the is the Strategic Combat Series, not the Tactical one :)

  2. Hey, that looks really cool. Have you heard of Unconditional Surrender! Europe, by the way? It's a strategic level WW2 game from GMT and it plays very smooth. Since you're into ancients, I'm also wondering if you've heard of/played Siege of Jerusalem? Looks interesting.

    1. Hey Brad, yeah, I'd love to get Unconditional Surrender but I don't think I'd actually get to play it. I have Siege of Jerusalem, actually, but have not yet got it to table (see the theme?!). Do you have your eye on it?

    2. I'm sure some day I'll explore some ancients games and SoJ will be one of them but I'm still too much into moderns right now (and I don't really understand why). Siege of Jerusalem was featured on Jan. 8th Episode XI podcast of Guns, Dice, and Butter. Great interview with Fred Schachter, one of the designers. I really recommend listening to the podcast before it hits your table. Fascinating stuff. Here's the link: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgamepodcast/17986/guns-dice-butter
