Things have been quiet in blog land lately thanks to work. Although the home has not been entirely devoid of gaming and related activities, finding the time to write them up has been beyond me.
Here though is a quick selection of recent activities.
W1815 - A couple of friends came over the other week for a crack at W1815, the new Waterloo game. They seemed to enjoy it and while Wellington won both games, he was a good deal more successful in one than the other.
Munda, with Strategos II.
Well, that's about all that I've got time and energy for at the moment. Cheerio!
Munda looks good. Who won!?
ReplyDeleteStill ongoing, Paul!
DeleteI think everyone's having a lull in their blogs at the moment, I know I am??
ReplyDeleteAh, not everyone, Ray!
DeleteThe summer heat, Ray? ;-)
DeleteW1815 looks like an elegant little game. I recall reading a review recently but that is about it! How does the game play and is replay an issue?
ReplyDeleteI like it. Quite different from most other games, but it's a bit hard to describe in a paragraph!
DeleteSame boat here pal, but still gaming as well. Hope to post an AAR of my Saga game I had today sometime tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGlad your still kicking it
Kevin
Nice one Kevin. Glad to hear you're still Saga-ing away!
DeleteWe played a couple of games of Waterloo; Wellington won both. I suspect it is slanted in the Allies favour; don' t have an issue with that. It was a fun evening and I'd certainly play it again from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI had a couple of wins as Napoleon when playing solo. Hammered Hill with 6s, used up the reserve, and went from there. There was a lot of lucky rolling, however!
DeleteVery nice selective use of your energy, Aaron! I would like to try out that board game.
