A Star Wars bargain

It's not often I find a really good bargain on hobby related stuff in Japan, but I did today.  I popped into the second hand store down the road to have a look at the guitars they have in at the moment and serendipitously happened upon these in a corner at a ridiculously low price.  They are from 1998, unopened in the original packaging, and each costing about the same as an ice cream.

I'm not actually much of a Star Wars buff, but I know a few people that are, and if they don't want them I'm sure my boy will when he gets a bit older.

Now, I just have to find some space to store them!

  1. Nice grab. Your kid should be able to give them the attention they deserve! Remember - a toy never played with is not a toy at all.

  3. Great score, Aaron. My youngest boy, now 16, used love the boxed sets of figures. He still has them, but is more interested in online gaming and such. Best, Dean

    1. Hi Dean, 8-13 seems about the optimum time for action figure toys, as I remember from my own misspent youth... Old enough to look after the things that can go missing and young enough to enjoy it all!

  4. Excellent! I've been collecting figures now for a few years after finding some rare ones at a flea market in the middle of nowhere. My current collection is at about 50 and they adorn my apartment wall in the gaming room section. Some of the ones you've found are a bit rare (especially the Death Star Escape one) and they look good in the box - but I suspect they would look much better in the hands of a happy child.

    1. You're right Brad - am thinking of just giving the lot to the kids to play with :)
