Gauls and cricket...

With the test match on at Lord's tonight I've been finishing the prep for the last of my Gallic infantry as I don't want to leave the computer for the painting room.  Shame that New Zealand has thrown away a good chance to build a first innings lead, but credit must go the the English bowlers and to the approach of their batsmen in the second innings.

Anyway, the Gauls must be getting annoyed with me talking about cricket, and I do want them to perform on table for me, so I'd best shut up!

  1. I don't like cricket (to 10cc), but then being Scottish you'd probably expect me to say that. I do like Gauls though - good luck with all the patterns!

  2. I don't like cricket either, but you can't have it all!

  3. That is a daunting pile of lead! Can I ask, what do you use the copper wire for?

    1. Hi Monty, I use the copper wire for fashioning 15mm javelins and spears. I find it to be easier than hewing such weapons from living rock!

  4. I have fond memories of playing cricket in South Africa.
That is a big pile of Gauls! Looking forward to following your progress.

    1. Cheers - I used to play a bit in NZ. Whenever my local team needed a number 11 who couldn't bowl, they'd call me up ;-) Good thing I never played in South Africa, I'd've been killed by one of those nasty quicks they produce!

Yes, Gauls are daunting, but it's becoming a rite of passage: if I can paint these I can paint anything :)
